I am a former Physical Education and Leadership teacher and a member of SCBWI. I am a published author in the character development field. I’ve designed over 200 games that help teach positive social skills to youth and young adults. I am currently writing children’s books and have just finished my first draft of a Young Adult (YA) novel.

I love seeing our youth accomplish things they never believed were possible. My readers go on magical adventures and see what it is to be resilient. While overcoming obstacles they experience the meaning of true friendship. Society is strengthened when they not only help others, but learn to ask
for help.

My interests are spending time with my family, writing, pickleball, martial arts, and running. I was a 1972 Olympic Trials finalist in track and field (1500m). I have traveled to China twice as an athlete. My first time was as a member of the U.S.A. Track team where my 24th birthday was celebrated by a room of over 5,000 people. This was quite an experience for an introvert such as myself. My second experience was testing for my blackbelt at the Shaolin Temple at age 55. I came home with a blackbelt and a shattered clavicle.
