In February 2025 I joined a writer’s forum called 12×12. The goal is to write a new picture book draft once a month. Although I have been taking classes and listening to lots of webinars, I wasn’t doing much writing or submitting. 12×12 has inspired me to write more regularly. The Bird That Soars, But Cannot Fly
Wiggles was born early, with small wings that can not support flight. With perseverance, and a strong family, they find a way to take to the sky.

Humpty Grumpy Sat on a Mound
Baxter is a grumpy bulldog who collects all the toys left behind at the dog park. He stacks them up in the corner and sits on top, guarding them with his life. Although other dogs insist they were left to share, he thinks otherwise. “You left them, you lost them.” With persistence, the other dogs are able to turn the frown upside down.

Unexpected Treasures
It’s Daughter-Daddy-Day. Mandy and her dad spent the day metal detecting. Mandy thinks they are going to get rich. Although treasures are found, some of the best treasures are the ones you give away. While having a wonderful day with her dad, Mandy helps make this world a better place.
