I am currently finishing the final edits for my young adult novel, which is about a struggling mother-daughter relationship. Mom’s (Raylyne) overbearing desire to keep her teenage daughter (Raymie) safe drives her away. They are both at wit’s end. They desperately need some time apart. Raylyne agrees to let her daughter spend the summer at a magical beach. The beach provides whatever a person needs. While going back in time, Raymie meets her new best friend, who happens to be her mother at Raymie’s age.
